Born at the town of Beit Sahour in Palestine on the 31st of January 1959.
Education:
Finished school education in 1976 in Bethlehem, graduated from England
(North East London Polytechnic) with a B.Sc. degree in architecture in 1985.
Professional Experience:
Pre Professional Career Stage:
1985-1987
I Worked after graduation in the architectural office of architect Bassem Khoury in Bethlehem during
which period I worked in the design and supervision of the following projects:
Talitha Kumi school / Beit Jala / new school Building
French Hospital / Bethlehem / renovation of the old building
French hospital / Jerusalem / new building for nurses dormitories
Lutheran church / Beit Jala / new building for Boarding Section and many other projects.
Professional Career Stage:
1987-Now
I established my own architectural practice in Bethlehem in 1987.
The turning point came in my professional career stage was in 1990 when I founded and became
the General Manager of my own company Al Madae’n for Construction & Engineering, which involves
in designing and supervising and executing of various public and private projects.
On the personal level I was fully involved in the design & supervision of several Public & Private works
such works involved fully utilizing special computer software such as ArchiCAD and AutoCAD throughout the work:
1. Designing, preparing all tender related documents, and supervision that can be noted in several private buildings and projects
2 Designing & Supervision works involving preparing drawings and other needed documents for several private building and projects
Another major aspect of designing & supervision works involved in designing integrated playgrounds layouts
of furniture and outdoor toys for kindergartens and public parks by, carefully studying and fully employing
special computer software such as Archicad and AutoCAD’s throughout the designing, manufacturing and
installation stages. Such works are fully noted in children parks of the Bethlehem and Jerusalem areas:

3. Execution works thru Al Madae’n company involved the following:
Jerusalem Electric Company Main Building & Station at Kubeh/ Bethlehem

Central Public Health Laboratories / Ramallah
Renovation of Destroyed Homes in the Bethlehem area
Rehabilitation of Manger Square / Bethlehem
Languages:
Besides to mother tongue Arabic Language I speak and write the English language fluently.
Interests And Activities:
I have also many other various interests:
* Community work: I am a member of many public institutions in the Bethlehem area
* Photography: in 1985 I held a photographic exhibition in Bir Zeit University.
· * Research: I have been doing research in the field of solar energy, in particular solar dryers.
I I am a co-author in a paper entitled “ THE STAIRCASE SOLAR DRYER: DESIGN AND CHARACTERISTICS “
pu published in Renewable Energy journal Vol. 7, No. 2, pp. 177-183, 1996.
· * I gave a 14 hr. course in Internal Design at the Bethlehem University in October 2002.

3. 21 hrs of Training in Strategical Planning thru panorama Center at the Peace Center in Bethlehem in 2000.
4. 6 hrs UNDP Sponsored Training Courses in Kindergarten planning held at Bethlehem 2000.in 2002
5. 30 hrs of Training in Bookkeeping, Administration, and Planning sponsored by Bethlehem Civic Forum in 2002.
